LEAN Manufacturing at Bryco Machine, Inc.
LAS VEGAS, NEVADA (April 8, 2008) Dennis Gilhooley Jr. from Bryco Machine was a featured speaker in a LEAN Manufacturing panel discussion at the Exact Software Engage User Conference. The video presentation of the panel discussion includes how Bryco Machine is implementing LEAN manufacturing principles to reduce costs, improve output, establish a competitive advantage and increase market share.
 New Equipment
In November 2007, Bryco acquired two CINCOM K16-VII, the newest generation machine by Citizen. The new Citizen K16-VII combines modern technology and highest precision for the efficient production of turned parts up to 16mm in diameter. 7 axes, 6 turning tools, 4 rotary tools and in total 8 tools for front and back machining allows great flexibility.
Also in November of 2007, Bryco acquired two more EUROTECH E-420 SLL machines. Bryco now has 8 EUROTECH CNC Multi-axis turning centers.
Bryco Machine Welcomes State Representatives
TINLEY PARK, ILLINOIS (November 8, 2007) Bryco Machine Inc., welcomed two local state representatives for a tour of the company and a discussion on important topics related to Illinois small businesses. Representative Renee Kosel of the 81st District and Representative Kevin McCarthy of the 37th District joined Bryon Bettinardi, Owner and President of Bryco Machine and his staff to learn more about Bryco. Mr. Bettinardi shared the history of the company and his roots in the manufacturing industry. The discussion moved on to relevant issues including how to create more jobs in Illinois, the rising costs of healthcare and competition in the changing global manufacturing marketplace. The visit concluded with a full tour of the shop which is undergoing a redesign through a LEAN Manufacturing initiative.
Bryco Machine Promotes Dennis Gilhooley Jr. to Vice President
TINLEY PARK, ILLINOIS (June 11, 2007) Bryco Machine Inc., leading precision machining manufacturer, announced today the appointment of Dennis Gilhooley Jr. to Vice President. With commitment and dedication to improving processes and providing innovative technology solutions, Mr. Gilhooley has served Bryco as Director of Information Technology and Operations since 2004. He will now oversee the day-to-day operations of Bryco Machine in addition to his current responsibilities in the areas of process improvement and technology. "We are pleased to have Dennis in this new position. He will play an integral role in Bryco’s continued success," said Bryon Bettinardi, Owner and President of Bryco Machine. Prior to joining Bryco, Mr. Gilhooley excelled in business process reengineering at IBM. He received a Business Degree from Loyola University Chicago and a Masters Degree from DePaul University. Mr. Gilhooley represents Bryco as an active member of the Tool and Manufacturing Association and the Alliance for Illinois Manufacturing. He also leads the Greater Chicago Area JobBoss (shop management software) user group.
 New Equipment
In October 2006, Bryco acquired a new CINCOM L20-series Type VIII – the fastest, most efficient 7-Axis L20-series lathe ever developed by Citizen. Full servo axes and advanced technologies enable faster machining operations while reducing non-cutting idle time
by 40%.
